The Project
Smiley Air is a fictitious Aviation company created to criticize fake advertising issues in the Airline industry. Smiley Air poses as a friendly and approachable airline, but underneath its facade, they are hostile and exclusive in nature.
The project was created with typical airline company branding in mind, utilising bold and bright colours to signify the juxtaposition between friendly and hostile.

Overall, this project is one of my favourites and most loved by a wide range of people. It highlights my fun, fresh, and bold design style, and its storytelling narrative is backed by primary and secondary research completed online and in-person.


MY PROCESS

Feedback received from the audience influenced my need to change the design of this first brand mark iteration.

Having a mascot was important in conveying the key messages of friendliness versus hostility.

Lots of changes led to this final brand mark which highlights Smiley Air's USP and SMP.
